Project TAB is a study seeking to identify unique risk factors for experiencing alcohol-induced blackouts and other alcohol-related consequences in college students who drink heavily. Participants completed the study over six weekends spanning one semester. During each study weekend, they
wore alcohol biosensors on their wrist and completed daily and in-the-moment surveys about their drinking-related behaviors and outcomes.
The goals of Project TAB are to:
- (1) Examine the associations between drinking dynamics (e.g., quantity, speed, duration), blackouts, and other alcohol-related consequences.
- (2) Conduct a theory-driven examination of social and psychological influences, and biological risk related to thinking dynamics, blackouts, and other consequences.
Study Status: Data collection has been completed.
